YourMondayMotivator: The danger of limiting beliefs

Recently I had a conversation with a guy who is a DJ and really into a certain type of music. During the conversation I mentioned a few other DJ’s and the music they played, he flat out didn’t like it. Not at all.

He made quite a point of it and at the time I thought nothing of it. However, yesterday the thought occurred to me that by being so admanent about something you can easily limit your beliefs.

Limiting your beliefs, even if it’s music choice, will flow into the rest of your life. Silently and like an assassin it could creep in and put you in danger of missing opportunities, or fun, or health, or enjoyment.

You might think I’m taking it to the extreme but am I? Have a think about beliefs you have and the effect it has on the rest of your life.

In my opinion there will be beliefs that move you forward and ones that shut of your mind and take you backwards.

Be aware which is which because one day you might hear a piece of music you really like but it’s a type you have said you don’t, what then? Argh! Exactly. Be aware of what you put out there because it will definitely be back to either pat you on the back or bite you on the bottom.

Have a great week and an awesome Christmas.
