Today’s minimotivator #55-2010: Amateur to Artist

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Every artist was first an amateur.”

There are many types of artist. Not just the painter or the sculpter or the designer. There is the lawnmower man, the sandwich maker, and the rubbish man.

All of these people started off as amateurs to. Then as they mowed more lawns, made more sandwiches, and picked up more bins they got better and better. They became artists because they make what they do seem easy.

And that is what a true artist is. Someone who makes something look easy. What can you do that others find hard? That is your art.
